Research Interests

Neuro-inflammatory response plays a critical role in the post stroke neurodegeneration process, inhibition of such could potentially reduce neuron loss and help brain function recovery. Microglia is the major player in neuro-inflammation. My research focuses on the molecular mechanism controlling microglia activation upon pathogen stimulation or brain ischemia conditions, in a in vitro cell culture model and in vivo mouse model. I am paticularly interested in regulating microglia activation through metabolism restriction.
